Vanillin is the major component of natural vanilla, which is one of the most widely used flavoring materials worldwide. In this app note, an ethanolic crude extract of vanilla is used to show the capacity of the PLC 2050 system to work with different types of chromatographic columns.
As the drug resistance of malaria parasites increases, the development of innovative and effective antimalaria drugs is of high importance. In this app note, we describe how natural products provide a vast field of new lead structures that are effective in fighting the disease.
Forsythiaside A, a phenylethanoid glycoside, is one of the major active constituents extracted from the air-dried fruits of Forsythia suspensa and has been reported to possess a wide range of pharmacological properties, including anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities. This application note discusses a simple, fast, and cost-efficient method to prepare pure compounds using a centrifugal partition chromatography (CPC) system.
Lignin is an abundant phenylpropanoid polymer found in all plant matter. It has historically been treated as an impurity in the paper pulping and ethanol biorefinery industries where it is burned as a low-value fuel or sold at low prices. However, developing higher-value applications of lignin would help biorefineries operate at higher efficiencies. In this app note, a two-dimensional separation is conducted using centrifugal partition chromatography (CPC), which helps demonstrate the value of CPC as a tool for gaining deeper insights into depolymerization mixtures for biomass facilities.
In this application note we examine the limits of quantification and detection, repeatability, reproducibility, and recovery in food safety analytical testing. Automation with the GX-271 ASPEC® system provides a reproducible and
reliable method for the isolation.
This application note describes a comparison of a conventional Co-IP protocol with an EXTRACTMAN® protocol using ESP technology. While the conventional Co-IP protocol did not pull down the protein-protein complex, EXTRACTMAN did, demonstrating the utility of ESP technology and EXTRACTMAN.
In this app note, PIPETMAX, an automated pipetting platform for maximizing reproducibility of biological sample preparation, was used to demonstrate the reproducibility and accuracy for a cell-based mechanistic toxicity profiling application.
In this study, functional corn RNA was quantitated by RT-qPCR using the GoTaq® Probe 1-Step RT-qPCR System after two different extraction methods. To enhance the pipetting accuracy and consistency an automated pipetting assistant, PIPETMAX was used to reduce pipetting errors inherent in manual methods.
Since 1970, glyphosate has been used as a systemic, non-selective herbicide and crop desiccant on farms, in fields, and in public and residential areas. This application note describes the rapid purification of glyphosate, aminomethylphosphonic acid (AMPA), and glufosinate from red wine using AFFINIMIP® SPE Glyphosate.
This application note describes how PIPETMAX® with qPCR Assistant is a highly proficient pipetting workstation that reduces the potential for cross-contamination and other human induced errors.
